Solar Energy Society of India (SESI), is set to organize a first-of-its-kind webinar on 21st March 2021, to honor Ajit Bahadur by awarding him the Saur Urja Parivartak award. The award will be presented to him for his enormous contribution to promoting solar energy in India. The webinar will be held from 5 pm to 6 pm and will be streamed live on SESI YouTube Channel.
Prafulla Pathak, President of SESI, said “it is a great pleasure for us to organize this webinar where we will be recognizing and honoring Ajit Bahadur for his unique initiative in promoting solar energy via his YouTube channel. SESI is presenting before you two dynamic personalities, Shri Bhagwat Nandan who is a veteran in the field of Solar energy, and Ajit who is a person from the new age. Both will be sharing their experiences to the world through this webinar,” added Mr. Pathak.
SESI is aiming to reach out to the masses who are not a part of the solar sector, through this initiative. Ajit Bahadur, a Pune-based young and individual solar professional has two decades of industry experience while working with TATA BP Solar, Bosch Solar on Thermal/ PV both on-grid and off-grid till 25 MW. However, following his passion, he ventured into the field of social entrepreneurship and launched his youtube channel Solar is My Passion to promote solar energy in India.
Bhagwat Nandan, Green Technologist and Coordinator of Barefoot College, is the chief guest of the event. He will present the award to Ajit Bahadur. Barefoot College, empowers rural women by explaining and educating them about solar energy. The Solar Energy of India (SESI), established in 1978, is the Indian Section of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES). It covers all aspects of renewable energy, including characteristics, effects, and methods of use, and it provides a platform to all those concerned with the nature and utilization of this renewable non-polluting resource.
