Group Net-metering | Policy is yet to be implemented
- If there is requirement of 100kW at the location 2 but the sanctioned load is 50kW & can I install a 100kW System at the location 1 where I want to install Solar? Or do I have do load extension at location 2?
- Is there any 15 min time block concern while installing Solar through Group net-metering?
- If the Location 1, where I want to install solar in not under ambit of TOD i.e. it is below 20kW and the location 2, where I want to use the power, there is a need to 5kW, will the meter of location 1 meter be considered in TOD? Will I have to do load extension?
- If there is requirement of 50kW at the location 2 and transformer in that location have exceeded the capacity of Solar, can I install Solar at location 1?
- If there is requirement of just 2kW at the existing location but I have requirement of 300kW at my 5 different locations, can I install a Solar System then? (Sandeep)
- How much charges I need to pay per unit, if I install a Solar System off site? Is there any difference in this Group Net-metering & Open Access

- What is the basic factor to be looked while purchasing land for Solar
- How much area is required per MW
- If the Land is to be rented, how much rent should we pay the land owner?

- If the process is done by us, do we deduct that amount from the rent?
- Cost of leveling the land
- What if the land is uneven?
- Do we increase the rent per year?
- What if the customer do not pay the rent?
- Please provide a rental agreement between the land owner and the developer or the land owner and purchaser
- Do we need to make soil test? Where do we get these tests done from?

Transmission Lines

- What is the height of the poles? 11kV, 22kV, 33kV, 66kV
- What is the diameter of the transmission lines? 11kV, 22kV, 33kV, 66kV
- Do we need to change the transmission lines if the capacity of the Solar Plant increases?
- Which types of poles are preferred? Cement or metal?
- What if we take the transmission lines by Road side?
- Is there any other permission to be taken to install transmission lines?
If the transmission line of any other customer already there, can we directly connect it to those lines? - On the same pole can we extend our transmission lines too?
- Can we feed the power generated from Solar directly on the MSEDCL poles?
- If yes, what if there are consumers who want to use the power? How will we calculate that?

Bay

Step Up Transformer
- Is Step up Transformer of 11kV, 22kV, 33kV available in market?
- What is the cost of these transformers? 11kV, 22kV, 33kV
- Is there any difference in cost in same kVA transformer but different Voltages to which they are step up to?
- Can we setup a single transformer of 3MVA and go on connecting 1000kW Solar plants to it? i.e. instead of adding transformers buy a single big transformer

- Is it necessary that the transformer work should be done by the electrical contractor only?
- Is there any validity criteria for transformer load that we have setup?

Metering
- Where are the meters installed?
- If there is only 1 transformer of 2MW and 2 Solar Plants of 1MW each, where are the meters installed?
- How is the generation divided between same SPV but two different consumers?
- If there is a Solar Park where we have installed 7-8 projects, how is the reading taken?
- Is there any problem of Power Factor
- Generation meters are installed near the plant or the substation

Sub-station
- What are the things to look if we want to connect our plant to that specific Substation Rural or 11KVA substation
- Which sub-station (kVAs) is preferred to connect the Solar Park to?
- Is there any difference in rates per Unit if we connect it to different substations
- Process of Grid Connectivity
- How much permission can we get on one sub-station to install solar?
- What if the sub-station is under Maha Transco?
